Cake Sizing

So, in the cake world cakes are measured in inches, regardless of where you are in the world. This can be a little confusing, but as a guide 1 inch = 2.54cm

A standard cake is 4 inches tall, extended is 6 inches tall and a double barrel is 8 inches tall.

This guide is for standard height only.

1 x 1 inch would be the size you would normally get at a wedding, also called a "Coffee serve". Excellent option if there are lots of desserts on offer and everyone just wants a small piece of cake.

1 x 2 inch is considered a ""Dessert" serve. This option is excellent if the cake is the dessert.

2 x 2 inches is considered a "party" serve. If the cake is the only dessert on offer, everyone loves cake, or you are only having cake, this is the way to go.

All cakes come with a cutting guide.
